The Borzoi, also called the Russian wolfhound, Russian Hunting Sighthound, Russkaya Psovaya Borzaya, or Psovoi, is a breed of domestic dog originating in Ukraine and Russia. Borzois are large Russian sighthounds, and they can generally be described as "long-haired greyhounds". Borzois come in virtually any color. The borzoi coat is silky and flat, often wavy or slightly curly. The borzoi is a quiet, but athletic and independent dog. The borzoi is extremely smart and requires patient, experienced handling.
